June 3 and 4, 2017
Are you tough enough? There is only ONE way to find out!
- Do you want to be part of one of the most beautiful adventure races that Australia has to offer?
- Do you want to push yourself mentally and physically, whilst enjoying the scenic coast lands of Western Australia?
- Are you the most seasoned athlete who can take on any challenge with their hands tied behind their back? Or is coming third in a hot dog eating competition the most physically exerting thing you have ever done?
If you answered YES to any of the above then Adventurethon Kalbarri is for YOU! *we might not have hot dogs, but we will have one hell of an exciting time.
Set along the Murchison River, Adventurethon Kalbarri has a race to include the whole family. Each event is specifically designed with the competitor, and the competitor’s capabilities in mind, ensuring an amazing and fun filled day is had by all.
Each event ranges in difficulty from the Ultra, to the Enduro, then the Dirty Duathlon, to the Taste and Junior races. All of these events make the most of the beautiful surrounds, and unique terrain of Kalbarri’s Murchison River, National Park and breathtaking coastal cliffs.
Saturday June 3, 2017 will see all Adventurethon Kalbarri events held, starting with a trail run into town, where you will then pick up your kayaks for a river and/or ocean paddle, finishing off with an amazing mountain bike ride along the river and through the national park lands.
Sunday June 4, 2017 Adventurethon has stepped up to bring you the Bigurda Bash – an 8km cliff top trail run that features in the Ultra Adventurethon event from the day before, this gives friends and family the opportunity to sample the area, as well as giving our Ultra competitors a chance to back it up from the day before, if you dare! Registrations will open soon for the Bigurda Bash 8km cliff top trail run.
We are very excited to be partnering with the Kalbarri Canoe and Cray Carnival again in 2017.
Adventurethon has also teamed up with the Kalbarri Canoe N Cray Carnival to bring to you the Murchison River Dash – a scenic 16.5km river paddle along the Murchison River.
