The Closest and best Accommodation for the NEW Adventurethon Course is Maggies in Horseshoe bay which is just out the front of the Transition/ Finish Zone and next to the Pubs and cafes for a great meal making that Post event shower easy for racers as well as allowing Support Crew to keep tabs on the race from the comfort of their rooms if needed.

You can Book an entire Apartment to share with your family, amongst a group of existing mates or other athletes OR if you want to share an apartment we have got 4 x Apartments put aside for those people who wish to share an apartment but don’t know anyone. We will reserve these based on if you are travelling with or without kids and try to roughly put you with people close to your age and interest, its a great way to get the perks without the full cost or need to be a social butterfly.

Activities and things to do whilst in the Area

  • Dive the SS YONGALA wreck-
    All of the dive companies on the island offer dives to a variety of sites, from trips out to the famous SS Yongala, to the reef surrounding the Island.
  • Snorkel the New Snorkel Trail-
    There are a few snorkel trails around the Island. Great for both beginners and experienced swimmers as there is easy access to the trails from the beaches of Nelly and Geoffrey bay.
  • Jetski around Magnetic Island-
    Have a bit of fun with some of the water sports on offer around the Island, jet skiing is a personal favourite!
  • Horse rides-

  • Bungalow Bay-

  • Island walking Trails:
    There are amazing walking trails all over Magnetic Island, all of them showing off beautiful views of the ocean, bushland and wildlife. With the most popular of the trails being Fort Walk. This trail is approximately one and a half hours, offering stunning views of the Coral Sea, the WWI Ruins, and if you’re lucky you might even spot a koala or two.
