Course Maps Guide Ultra Adventurethon Townsville 2017

We are excited to again Feature both the Under the radar MTB track and the Smedleys tracks in this years Ultra and Duathlon events. This Course will reward riders that master the use of good lines and can roll over rock features and rock gardens. Good riders could get over the course on a hard tail bike however a higher degree of riding ability will be needed. (For easier riding ,paddling and running options try the ENDURO)

An 8 km return paddle back to the HQ area at Pallarenda Beach (Should be a downwind paddle leg given the prevailing winds that time of year)

bike only ultraImage by Scott and Mandie Cheers3Once back on the mainland there will be a great 29 km mountain bike leg on the Under the Radar & Smedleys Trails including some great technical features like rock gardens and some great fun sweeping trails with amazing views. (get out and practice on those trails first to get a feel for them OR simulate by riding similar features elsewhere)

There is a lot of great Single track to ride on to make it more fun for all!

Run Marlow onlyAfter the exciting MTB track there is a great trail run that passes along the base of Mt Marlow and then to its summit where a great technical descent begins, Yeeha!

gnarly trail WEBTowards the base of Mount Marlow we have the abseil portion of the course. An Instructor will be on hand (please follow all instructions given). Once you have completed your abseil you will need to return gear to Instructor and then continue on your run.

Total run distance for this leg including the 3.6 km graveyard loop after the Mt Marlow Run is 14.1 km
