Goats Galorious Goats XC is a MTB ride with a difference. Lunar-like landscapes traversed at high speeds and mixed with an occasional slow grind as you explore the magnificent and historic Murchison House Station. Some will want to go all in to win and turn this into a pretty fast course. Others will find solace and wonder in the landscapes once the dust from the lead bunch subsides.

It is only fair to warn you that travelling this course may not always be plain sailing. The clue is in the race name, goats heads, and lots of them. If you can do then tubeless is best, just make sure there is plenty of fresh sealant inside those tyres. Can’t do tubeless, no problem, just make sue you have spare tubes and ideally run plenty of sealant in your tubes (almost as effective as running tubeless).

A cross-country mountain bike ride on Murchison Station with the rangeland goats and brahman cattle. This will be a unique experience through spectacular scenery that shouldn’t be missed. Murchison House Station is a working property so you will probably see different aspects of property life as you travel the courses we have set out. It is also important that you remain on marked courses to avoid impeding normal station activities.

Murchison House offers camping facilities at a reasonable price so becomes a great option for those riding and participating in the Ultra paddle the following morning; no haul in and out of town = more time to sleep between stages. You can book a campsite through the station at http://www.murchisonhousestation.com.au/
