W.A Schools Challenge at Adventurethon Albany- Great Prizes thanks to Merida Bikes and Spirit Kayaks
Merida Bike & Spirit Kayaks have jumped on board for Prizes for the winning School at Adventurethon Albany.
As children’s lives are filled with more technology, and in general we are surrounded by more concrete, we are left with kids who are in a Nature deficit. Our aim of the W.A Schools Challenge at the Adventurethon Albany is to encourage participation in activity outdoors being amongst nature, as well as fostering good team spirit. Introducing students to new challenges will set them up to be more resistant to stress and overwhelm as they become leaders of the next generation.
The School with the Most People in the Challenge will win the following prizes:

A NEW SPIRIT CTR kayak and a Paddle thanks to Spirit paddle sports valued at over $1300

A Merida bike thanks to Merida and Advanced traders valued at up to $500 RRP
The Distances of the event are
- 3km run at Princess Royal Forts and through gun mounts and historical trail
- 10km Mountain Bike ride through Mt Adelaide, the Forts and down the Hill to Anzac Peace Park
- 1km paddle at protected water at Anzac Peace Park
- 200 metre run out and back at Anzac Peace park
The winning school will be the school that has the most kids not necessarily the fastest kids. This can include individual competitors as well as teams.
Any individuals will receive medallions for placing 1st , 2nd or 3rd in their age category.
