Adventurethon brings the DIRTZ to ATEC Expo
Experience a taste of the paddle, mountain bike and trail run format that has taken Australia by storm with the Adventurethon Team this July 23 & 24 at the ATEC Expo, Dome Stadium in Sydney.
Adventurethon event Director Joel Savage says, “Being able to showcase the fun of this format to so many endurance athletes in the one place is so exciting. We are really looking forward to giving them a few skills after visiting our major display.”
Working alongside one of the best trail builders in the Sydney area, Dirtz Design and Constructions, in order to bring a small pump track style course, we will have a few obstacles for athletes to ride over. This gives us the opportunity to showcase to road based athletes how easily the skills can be picked up on a mountain bike while allowing the athletes the chance to experience the thrill of off road riding in a controlled environment and on some amazing SOON TO BE released mountain bikes from Lappierre, Merida and Norco… we know existing MTB riders will really love the pump course too so make sure you have a roll with us.
In Addition to showcasing the Mountain bike side of things we will have a few of the brand new Ocean paddler kayakpro ergo Compacts onsite in order to teach athletes a few surfski/ kayak skills.
Once these skills have been learned, an Adventurethon multisport challenge can be completed and timed with a leader board being kept and challenges between mates possible over the weekend.
We will also have a paddle coach on site to answer any paddling related questions and offering some free coaching tips on the paddling ergo throughout the weekend giving you the confidence to either try your first Adventurethon, or to start getting competitive in the racing scene.
We invite all athletes to visit our major display area the Adventurethon Zone at the Atec expo this July 23 and 24. Come and chat racing, adventure and pushing your comfort zones with us. This is great in the lead up to the Adventurethon Coffs Harbour event (August 20 & 21), ahead of the build up to Adventurethon Anglesea (December 3 & 4).
